This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Our Secure Inheritance.
Let's listen to God's Word in Ephesians 1:11 (KJV):"In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will."
What a comforting verse! Our salvation is not an accident, and our future is not uncertain. Because of Jesus Christ, we have received an eternal inheritance that can never be taken away. God loved us long before we ever loved Him, and through the death and resurrection of His Son, He made us His own.
This verse also reminds us that God is at work in our lives. Even when we don't understand what He is doing, He is working according to His perfect purpose and His perfect timing. Nothing catches Him by surprise. The God who saved you is the same God who is faithfully leading you every step of the way.
So if you're waiting on the Lord today, don't lose heart. Trust His love. Trust His wisdom. Trust His timing. Your life is in the hands of a sovereign Savior who never makes a mistake. And one day, you will fully enjoy the inheritance He has prepared for everyone who belongs to Him.
