Heart Surgeon Jesus

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Heart Surgeon Jesus.

Do we feel the need for God to change our hearts today? We can come straight to Him in prayer and ask Him to perform His heart surgery on us.

Let's listen to what God's Word promises in Deuteronomy:

"The LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love him with all your heart and all your soul so that you will live."
— Deuteronomy 30:6 (CSB)

And the Apostle Paul expands on this:

Colossians 2:11 CSB

You were also circumcised in him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of Christ.

We can easily fall into the trap of trying to look clean on the outside, matching the expectations of others, while our hearts remain unchanged.

True transformation is not a visible, physical show. It is a quiet, deep work of Jesus on the inside. When Jesus performs this heart surgery on us, He cuts away our pride, our stubborn rebellion, and our self-will. He doesn't just patch up our behavior; He gives us a brand-new heart to love Him and walk in His ways.

We don't have to struggle to change ourselves today. Instead, let's open our lives to Jesus. Let's ask Him to do the deep, inward work that only He can do, so that our lives bring praise to God.
