Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
Let's listen to God's Word in Psalm 119:37 (NKJV):
"Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way."
Every day, there are countless things competing for our attention. Some are good, some are necessary, and some simply distract us from what matters most. The psalmist understood that what we continually look at will influence our hearts.
When we spend time in His Word, talk with Him in prayer, and remember that He is right beside us, our hearts are renewed. Our focus changes. Instead of being captivated by the temporary things of this world, we become captivated by Jesus Christ. And as we keep our eyes on Him, He revives us, strengthens us, and fills us with His peace.
So today, when something tries to pull your attention away from Jesus, gently turn your eyes back to Him. Remember that He is with you, He loves you, and He will never leave you. There is no better place to fix your gaze than on your faithful Savior.
