This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Jesus Is Our Inheritance.
Listen to what it says in Psalm 16:5 (NLT):
"LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine."
What a wonderful truth! As believers, our greatest inheritance is not something we receive someday—it is Someone we know today. Our inheritance is Jesus Himself. Because Jesus went to the cross and took the punishment for our sins, everyone who trusts in Him receives the gift of eternal life. This inheritance can never be lost, never wear out, and never come to an end. It has no boundaries and no expiration date. It is ours forever because of God's grace through Jesus Christ.
The psalm also says, "You alone are my...cup of blessing." Every day we can enjoy that blessing by walking with Jesus. We open His Word and hear His voice. We obey His teachings and discover that His ways are always good. We spend time in His presence through prayer and find joy, peace, and strength for each new day. There is no greater blessing than living in close fellowship with the One who loved us enough to die for us.
Today, thank Jesus for your eternal inheritance. Treasure His presence more than anything this world can offer. Walk with Him, listen to Him, and enjoy the cup of blessing that only He can give.
