This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: The Bible Points to Jesus.
Let's listen to God's Word in Deuteronomy 18:15 (NLT):
"Moses continued, 'The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.'"
When Moses spoke those words, he was looking ahead to Jesus Christ. Hundreds of years later, Philip found Nathanael and said, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote" (John 1:45). The promised Prophet had come.
After His resurrection, Jesus walked with two discouraged disciples. Luke 24:27 tells us that, beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. What an amazing Bible study that must have been! Jesus showed them that the Scriptures had been pointing to Him all along.
Hebrews 1 reminds us that God spoke through the prophets in times past, but now He has spoken to us through His Son. When we open our Bibles, we're not simply reading history or learning facts. We are coming to know Jesus more deeply.
So today, as you read God's Word, look for Jesus. See His love, His grace, and His saving work on every page. He is the One who went to the cross for your sins, rose again to give you eternal life, and walks beside you today. The more you see Jesus in the Scriptures, the more your faith in Him will grow.
Until next time, keep your eyes on Jesus.
That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
