This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Held by His Mighty Hand.
Our Scripture is Psalm 63:8 (NKJV): "My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me."
David had learned the secret of a steady life: he stayed close to the Lord. Through battles, disappointments, and years of waiting, he kept pursuing God. And as David followed the Lord, he discovered something wonderful—God's mighty hand was always holding him.
The same is true for us as followers of Jesus. We aren't called to follow Christ from a distance but to walk closely with Him each day through His Word, prayer, and trusting obedience. As we draw near to Him, we find that He is already holding on to us.
Think of the blessings we have in Jesus: forgiveness for our sins, peace with God, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Every step we take in following Christ is supported by His faithful hand.
Today, stay close to Jesus. You'll discover that while you're following Him, He has been upholding you all along.
Let's pray:
Father, thank You for holding us with Your mighty hand. Help us to follow closely after Jesus each day, trusting You in every circumstance. Thank You for Your constant presence, Your faithful care, and the many blessings we have in Christ. Keep us near to You, we pray. In Jesus' name, amen.
