This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: The Classroom of Faith.
"When they saw him, they worshiped, but some doubted."
— Matthew 28:17 (CSB)
Think about that moment. The disciples were standing on a mountain in Galilee, looking directly at the resurrected, living Lord Jesus Christ. Some struggled with doubt.
If we are honest, we can often feel incredibly guilty when we face moments of hesitation, worry, or uncertainty in our own lives. We worry that if our faith isn't completely flawless, Jesus will reject us, get angry, or cast us off.
But the beautiful truth of the Gospels is that Jesus did not walk away from those doubting disciples. He didn't replace them, and He didn't throw them out of His circle. Instead, He brought them into what we can call the classroom of faith. He met them right where they were and continued to reveal Himself to them.
Even later, we see that they were still in training. The Apostle Mark records:
"Later he appeared to the Eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw him after he had risen."
— Mark 16:14
And just like those early disciples, we are still in His classroom today, learning to trust Him step by step.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus, thank You that You are so patient with us in the classroom of faith. Forgive us for the times we let doubt or worry harden our hearts. When we struggle to see the way forward, reveal Yourself to us through Your Word and quiet our anxious minds. Thank You for never casting us off and for holding us secure in Your grace today. Amen.
That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
