This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Kept by His Mighty Power.
Our Scripture is Jude 24 (NKJV): "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy."
What a comforting promise! Jude doesn't tell us to focus on our ability to keep ourselves. Instead, he points us to the One who is able to keep us. Our hope is not in our strength, our consistency, or our faithfulness. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, who is faithful even when we are weak.
There are days when we stumble, grow weary, or wonder if we'll make it. But our Savior has never lost one of those who belong to Him. The same grace that saved us is the grace that sustains us. The Lord doesn't simply forgive our sins and leave us to fend for ourselves. He walks with us, strengthens us, restores us when we fall, and faithfully completes the work He began in us.
And one day, Jesus will present every believer before the Father—faultless, clothed in His righteousness, and welcomed with exceeding joy. What a glorious day that will be! We won't stand there because we lived a perfect life. We'll stand there because we have a perfect Savior.
So if you're feeling weak today, don't look inward. Look to Christ. He is able to keep you today, tomorrow, and all the way until you see Him face to face.
Let's pray:
Father, thank You that our confidence is found in Your keeping power, not our own. Thank You for saving us through Jesus Christ and for faithfully holding us every day. When we are discouraged or weak, help us to trust Your promises and rest in Your grace. Thank You that one day You will present us faultless before Your glorious presence with exceeding joy. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus until that wonderful day. In His name we pray, amen.
