This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Kept by the Good Shepherd.
Our Scripture is John 10:27–30 (NKJV): "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand... I and My Father are one."
One of the greatest comforts in the Christian life is knowing that our salvation rests in the hands of Jesus. He doesn't simply point us to eternal life—He gives it to us. And then He makes this wonderful promise: "They shall never perish." What confidence that gives us!
Jesus knows His sheep personally. He calls us by name, leads us with His voice, and holds us securely in His hands. Our security isn't based on the strength of our grip on Him, but on the strength of His grip on us. The same Savior who sought us, saved us, and forgave us is the One who faithfully keeps us.
Whatever you face today, remember this: you belong to the Good Shepherd. His hands will never fail you. His grace is sufficient, His promises are sure, and His keeping power is greater than all your fears.
Let's pray:
Father, thank You for sending Jesus, our Good Shepherd. Thank You that He knows us, loves us, and holds us securely in His hands. When we are weak, remind us that Your keeping power is stronger than our weakness. Help us to follow Your voice each day with confidence and peace, knowing that You are faithful to finish what You have begun. In Jesus' name, amen.
