Jesus Anointed You

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Jesus Anointed You.

In 1 John 2:20, we read, "But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge." This verse reminds us that as believers, we are not left to navigate our faith alone. The anointing from the Holy One, which is the Holy Spirit, equips us with divine insight and understanding.

This anointing is a gift that leads us directly to the words of Jesus. When we seek the truth, the Holy Spirit guides us to the teachings of Christ, illuminating our hearts and minds. Jesus said in John 14:26, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."

As we meditate on Scripture, we can trust that the Holy Spirit is at work within us, helping us to grasp the depth of God’s Word. This anointing empowers us to live out our faith, to discern truth from falsehood, and to grow in our relationship with Christ. 

When we face challenges or uncertainties, we can rely on this anointing to remind us of Jesus' promises and teachings. It encourages us to seek His wisdom in prayer and to immerse ourselves in the Scriptures. 

Let us remember that this anointing is not just for knowledge but for transformation. As we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, we become more like Christ, reflecting His love and grace to those around us. 

So, as you go about your day, lean into the anointing you have received. Trust that the Holy Spirit will guide you to the words of Jesus, providing you with the knowledge and strength you need to navigate life’s journey.
