Christian - forgiven - grateful

Welcome! My name is Richard Templin Hancock and I am a senior citizen who has found great peace in his old age in the forgiveness that Jesus Christ offers to sinners. I enjoy reading my Bible and recording short Devotional podcasts with the aim to encourage us all to have faith in God and follow His Son Jesus Christ every day.
I hope the following blog posts will be an encouragement to you:

My God shall supply all your needs

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow him daily.  The title of this devotional thought is from Daily Light. "My God Shall supply all your needs."

Meditate on the following Bible verses:

My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all ... things shall be added unto you. Matt. 6:33

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Rom. 8:32

All things are yours: whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ's and Christ is God's. I Cor. 3:21-23

As having nothing, and yet possessing all things. II Cor. 6:10

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psa. 23:1

The LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psa. 84:11

The living God.... giveth us richly all things to enjoy. I Tim. 6:17

God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. II Cor. 9:8

When we cause others to stumble

Matthew 18:6-7

but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!

It is a sad moment if we realize that in the past we have caused others to sin. But thank God he forgives. And with God's help, we can correct our behavior so we can be a blessing to others instead.

1 John 1:9 reminds us:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And Psalm 130:4 reminds us: But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.

Never despair. God forgives. God restores.

God's Fullness In Christ.

I was pondering this scripture verse this morning: Colossians 1:19 "For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ."

And I could not help but think that as Jesus came to Jerusalem on what we now call Palm Sunday, our Heavenly Father was in Him, marching to the cross to show His amazing love for His children. When I think of Jesus going from town to town proclaiming the Good News of His Kingdom, that our Heavenly Father was in Him, loving, caring, and reaching out to the lost whom He cares so much for. When I see Jesus, I see my Heavenly Father. Jesus said in John 14:9: "...He who has seen me has seen the Father..."

I encourage you to think about your Heavenly Father in Christ, reaching out to love and save you. What love!

Colossians 1:20
And through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross.

Be blessed as you walk with the God who loves you so much He sent His Son to take the punishment for your sins.

The blessing of Jesus upon you

Psalm 139:5 NLT

You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.

While reading this Bible verse, I was thinking of the blessing of Jesus upon my head! All through my life, Jesus has been there, protecting and guiding. Now, don't get me wrong. I haven't been a saint all those years, but in spite of me, Jesus has loved, cared for, protected, and brought me to the truth about Himself. He never gave up on me, and I know He will never give up on you. Look to Jesus right now and thank Him for His hand of blessing on your head!

Deuteronomy 33:27 reads:
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

Think of you and Jesus today and His everlasting arms underneath you to love and guide you.
