Let's listen to God's Word in John 14:6:"Jesus told him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" — John 14:6 (CSB)
If we're not careful, it's easy to form our own ideas about who Jesus is. We hear so many voices today—some say He was just a great teacher, others say He simply wants us to be happy, and still others reshape Him into someone who never confronts sin. But the Jesus we need isn't the one imagined by our culture. He's the One revealed to us in God's Word.
The real Jesus is the eternal Son of God who came to seek and save sinners. He lived the perfect life we could never live, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again in victory over death. He loves us too much to leave us where we are. He calls us to turn from our sin, trust in Him, and follow Him. And as He said, He alone is the way to the Father.
So today, let's make sure our understanding of Jesus comes from Scripture, not from popular opinion. The more we know Him through His Word, the more we'll love Him, trust Him, and follow Him faithfully.
Let's pray.
Lord Jesus, thank You for revealing Yourself to us through Your Word. Guard our hearts from every false idea about who You are, and help us to know You as You truly are. Give us a deeper love for You and a stronger desire to follow You each day. In Your name, amen.
