Christian - forgiven - grateful

Welcome! My name is Richard Templin Hancock and I am a senior citizen who has found great peace in his old age in the forgiveness that Jesus Christ offers to sinners. I enjoy reading my Bible and recording short Devotional podcasts with the aim to encourage us all to have faith in God and follow His Son Jesus Christ every day.
I hope the following blog posts will be an encouragement to you:

What communion hath light with darkness?

What communion hath light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14) This is a timely reminder for us to keep in mind that God has called us out of sinful darkness into the light of the kingdom of His Son, Jesus Christ. Let's praise Him for that right now!

Sadly, as it says in John 3:19, "Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

But the good news for God's children who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ is that we are God's children! (1 Thessalonians 5:5) "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."

Sadly for those who have not found faith in Christ, "Darkness hath blinded his eyes." (1 John 2:11)

But for those forgiven by God, His word will be their light in darkness and guide them. (Psalm 119:105) "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

What is your condition in life? Are you in darkness? Seek deliverance and forgiveness with God in Jesus Christ. Are you in the light? Then thank God all day long for His presence, love, and guidance in His word! Rejoice, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob loves you!
